Gokyo / Chola Pass / Kalapattar Trekking

Annapurna Trekking, Base Camp Trek, Base Camp images, Nepal trek.This trip includes many magnificent views of Everest Region. The trail leads to the Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar first then decent down to the Lobuche. The way takes us to the Dzongla. You can make a challenging trip across the Cho La pass to the Gokyo Lake. The pass is not difficult, but it is steep and involves the glacier crossing even ice axe and crampons are needed for arranging the small icefall of the pass. The pass guides us to the Gokyo Valley. The views in the Gokyo are tremendously beautiful. For the best view we climb Gokyo Ri, the small peak above the lake which provides the Panoramic view of Cho-Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Gyanchung Kang, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawachee and several lakes in Gokyo Valley. 

 

Suggested Itinerary: 20 Days

 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer  to Hotel. If you have time half day sightseeing in kathmandu valley with licence holder professional tour guide. (A. )
Day 02: Early morning drive to airport to flight in Lukla.& Trek to Phakding. 2800m ( B, L, D, A)
Day 03: Phakding  to Namche Bazaar (3444m).   ( B, L, D, A)
Day 04: Namche Bazaar rest and acclimatization. ( B, L, D, A)
Day 05: Namche to Khumjung (3779m).  ( B, L, D, A)
Day 06: Khumjung to Machharmo (3846m).  ( B, L, D, A)
Day 07: Machharmo to  Gokyo (4750m).  ( B, L, D, A)
Day 08: Hiking up to Gokyo Ri (5443m).Enjoying / Mountains Bright, ( B, L, D, A)
Day 09 Gokyo to Thangna  (4684m) ( B, L, D, A)
Day 10: Thangna to cho-la pass 5420) Dzongla(4812m) ( B, L, D, A)
Day 11: Dzongla to Labuche (4930m)  ( B, L, D, A)
Day 12: Labuche to Gorak shep(5151m).base Camp Back to loge) ( B, L, D, A)
Day 13: Gorak shep to kalaphatar( 5550m) back to Pheriche(4880m) ( B, L, D, A)
Day 14: Pheriche to Tengboche (3875m).   ( B, L, D, A)
Day 15: Tenbuche to Phakding (2623m).  ( B, L, D, A)
Day 16: Phakding to Lukla (2800m).  ( B, L, D, A)
Day 17: Trek to Lukla along the gorge of the Dudh Kosi to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla to catch your return flight to Kathmandu . Weather permitting your trekking crew might prepare a farewell treat for you. You would be expected to join in the singing and the dancing with nepali culture !  ( B, L, D, A)
Day 18: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu  & transfer to  Hotel. ( B, A)
Day 19: These are "cushion" days in case bad weather or other circumstances delay your return to Kathmandu . Otherwise, they can be used for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley or free for shopping days . O/N Hotel (B, A.)
